Vincent Bearpark was born in 1993 and started to play the cornet at the age of 4 with the help from his father and music teacher Angelo Bearpark. He studied music at the Sion conservatoire, where he obtained his music degree in 2010. At the age of 10, he joined the „Fanfare Cécilia de Chermignon“.
From the age of 12, he took part every year in the Cantonal and Swiss National Championships where he was awarded numerous prizes. Vincent is multiple Valaisian and Swiss champion and became triple Valaisian champion of all categories in 2012 after winning the title in 2009 and 2010. In 2013, when he was not even 20 years old, he won for the third consecutive year the title of Swiss champion of all categories becoming the first soloist in the history of the competition to have won this title three times in a row (2011, 2012, 2013). In 2012, he was awarded the „Prix Musique“ in Berne.
Furthermore, he is a founder member and the current principle cornet of the Valaisia Brass Band with whom he won the Swiss National Championships in 2009, 2015 and 2016, the Swiss Open Contest in 2013. The Valaisia were placed second in the European Championships in Ostende (BE) in 2016 and recently won the British Open in Birmingham (UK) in 2017. Vincent also won the best soloist prize in 2013, 2014 and 2016 (2x) with Valaisia at the Swiss National Brass Band Championships in Montreux.
